Brett Hunt founded Citadel Merchant Group with a simple belief: business owners deserve a payment partner that works just as hard for their success as they do.
A decorated combat veteran, former Firefighter/EMT, and Police Officer, Brett has dedicated his life to serving others. Throughout his career, he has led teams, solved complex challenges, and built lasting relationships founded on trust, integrity, and accountability. Those same values became the foundation of Citadel Merchant Group.
With more than 30 years of experience spanning banking, technology, business development, and customer growth strategies, Brett recognized a troubling pattern in the payment processing industry, too many companies prioritized profits over people. Hidden fees, unexpected rate increases, and poor customer service had become the norm.
Determined to build something different, Brett created Citadel Merchant Group to put merchants first.
